Our advanced distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking enthusiastic Distribution Center Associates to join our logistics team. This role is vital for the efficient handling and processing of goods. You will be involved in diverse tasks including receiving inbound shipments, accurately picking and packing orders, stocking inventory, and preparing items for dispatch. We are dedicated to ensuring a safe workplace, and all associates must strictly adhere to safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Receive, verify, and store incoming inventory.
- Accurately pick items from inventory to fulfill customer orders.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment safely, such as pallet jacks and scanners.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols, including proper lifting and the use of PPE.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to meet operational objectives.
- Support the smooth functioning of the entire logistics process.
- Must be able to perform lifting of materials up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse role is advantageous.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Good physical stamina, capable of standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety principles and practices.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime as required.
- Must be willing and able to wear required PPE.
