We are hiring an efficient Order Picker to join our busy distribution center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving products from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. This role is critical to our logistics operations, ensuring timely dispatch of goods. You will utilize scanning devices and order lists to locate and gather items, ensuring the correct quantity and product type are selected. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols, and contributing to overall team productivity are key aspects of this position. The ideal candidate is agile, possesses excellent attention to detail, and can work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience with order picking or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous. We provide all necessary training and emphasize a culture of safety.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret order slips accurately
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves
- Verify product information and quantities before picking
- Use scanning equipment to track picked items
- Pack orders appropriately for shipment
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including PPE usage
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is a plus
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform repetitive lifting, up to 40 lbs
- Familiarity with warehouse safety and logistics best practices
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Commitment to following safety protocols and using required PPE
This role demands precision and speed in retrieving orders. The Order Picker contributes directly to the efficiency of our logistics chain, and adherence to all safety standards, including proper lifting techniques and the correct use of PPE, is paramount. Ensuring accurate order fulfillment is the primary objective.
