We have an opening for a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to manage the inflow of goods at our Raleigh, North Carolina facility. This pivotal role ensures that all incoming shipments are accurately documented, inspected, and stored efficiently. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be the first point of contact for arriving inventory, playing a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting our logistics chain. Responsibilities include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, and reporting discrepancies. A strong emphasis on Safety and organizational skills is crucial for success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess excellent administrative and physical capabilities, including the ability to perform moderate Lifting. We are committed to a safe and efficient warehouse environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming merchandise.
- Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Document all discrepancies, damages, or shortages accurately.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system promptly.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment.
- Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety regulations and protocols.
- Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and Lifting tasks as needed, up to 40 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in data entry and basic computer skills.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting and manual tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Understanding of Safety procedures in a logistics environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
