We are searching for a certified and experienced Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse operations in Orlando, Florida. This role is critical to the efficient movement of goods throughout our facility. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts safely and efficiently to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all operational protocols are paramount. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to ensure orders are processed accurately and on time, contributing significantly to our overall logistics performance. The ideal candidate possesses a valid forklift certification, a strong understanding of warehouse Safety procedures, and a commitment to maintaining equipment in good working order. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers with efficiency and care.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Safely manage inventory placement and movement within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and shipping functions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Follow proper Lifting techniques for items that require manual handling.
- Understand and follow warehouse layouts and logistics plans.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counting.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Proven knowledge of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of logistics and inventory management.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and meet productivity goals.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment maintenance.
