We are hiring a motivated Picker/Packer to join our busy distribution center in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders and efficiently packing them for shipment. This position requires a high level of accuracy, speed, and attention to detail to ensure customer satisfaction. You will work with various warehouse equipment and systems to fulfill orders promptly. The ideal candidate is energetic, reliable, and possesses a strong work ethic. This is a hands-on role that plays a critical part in our logistics operations, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Read pick orders and accurately locate and retrieve items from warehouse shelves.
- Verify product information and quantities before packing.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment, selecting the right packaging materials.
- Label packages with shipping information accurately.
- Operate scanning equipment to track inventory and order status.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential.
- Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, including stocking and cycle counts.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a picker, packer, or in a warehouse environment is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting, up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety protocols.
- Comfortable standing and walking for extended periods.
