Our growing logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska is looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts to move, load, unload, and store materials within our warehouse facility. This role is essential for the efficient operation of our distribution center, ensuring timely processing of goods and maintaining inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of warehouse procedures, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise in handling materials will directly contribute to our operational success and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach) safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, trailers, and storage areas.
- Transport goods to and from designated locations within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any issues or maintenance needs.
- Stack and organize materials securely and accurately.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stock checks.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all housekeeping standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, especially concerning Safety .
- Ensure proper usage of required PPE at all times.
- Be prepared for occasional moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Knowledge of forklift operating procedures and safety regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and moderate lifting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment through adherence to all Safety guidelines.
