We are seeking motivated Picker/Packers to join our busy distribution center in Tampa, Florida. This role is crucial for ensuring customer orders are processed accurately and efficiently. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from inventory and preparing them for shipment, as well as packing orders securely. A high level of accuracy, speed, and a strong commitment to safety are essential. The position requires individuals who are physically capable of performing tasks involving regular lifting and who can work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment. We are dedicated to maintaining a secure workplace and expect all employees to adhere to all safety protocols and utilize the appropriate PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Verify product details to ensure order accuracy and quality.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers.
- Label packages accurately for shipment.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory stock.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE .
- Meet or exceed daily productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse operations is highly preferred.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent lifting of items up to 40 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse scanning equipment is a plus.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and procedures.
- Willingness to wear and use all mandated PPE .
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
