Job Summary:
We are seeking a versatile Warehouse Associate for our busy facility in Chicago, Illinois. This role is fundamental to our daily logistics operations, ensuring efficient handling of goods and timely order fulfillment. As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform a variety of tasks, including receiving and putting away inventory, picking and packing customer orders, and preparing shipments for dispatch. You will be expected to operate warehouse equipment safely, maintain accurate inventory records, and contribute to a clean and organized workspace. A strong commitment to safety is essential, and all associates are required to follow established safety protocols, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position involves physical demands, including frequent lifting, and requires a dedicated and energetic individual. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming inventory accurately.
  • Pick, pack, and stage orders efficiently for shipment.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse machinery safely.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts.
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean, organized, and free from hazards.
  • Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
  • Load and unload trucks as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet operational goals.
  • Identify and report any damaged goods or safety concerns.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
  • Ability to perform lifting (up to 50 lbs) and stand/walk for long periods.
  • Familiarity with WMS is a plus.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE.
