Responsible for the management of all IS managed applications and the coordination and integration of all departmental based applications within the organization. This position in conjunction with IS Governance Committees, IS Leadership, and PMO coordinates Information Services application projects within domain of expertise to ensure appropriate resources are assigned and that end user requirements are met for complete, accurate, timely and usable information for patient care and business decision-making and evaluation. In conjunction with Application Support Managers, is responsible for the design, implementation and support of Epic, Infor, and other Clinical and Business applications, resolving issues in a timely fashion and ensuring that the technology meets clinical and business requirements. Negotiates with Operational Leadership the necessary changes in clinical or revenue workflow in order to improve efficiency and effectiveness and to make maximum use of the WakeMed Applications. Mentors all employees within sphere of influence, developing and delivering effective customer service. Leads by example, taking an active role in providing effective customer service. Accountable for the integration of the WakeMed mission, vision and values into the performance of all areas of responsibility. Under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer, the director works closely and collaboratively with executive leadership, technology leaders, internal departments and stakeholders, and external parties to ensure a well-coordinated delivery of high-quality, and reliable applications.
