The Claims Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the flood claims process, ensuring effective communication, leveraging technology, and gathering insights from claims handlers to support timely and accurate claim resolution. This role ensures all claims are processed in accordance with available coverage as well as applicable procedures, laws, and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design and enhance the mobile claims experience for field adjusters.
  • Improve communication through the use of digital tools and innovations.
  • Develop onboarding and training programs for new adjusters and examiners.
  • Manage claims to ensure catastrophe-related claims are handled timely and effectively.
  • Participate in the oversight and coordination of catastrophe claim events.
  • Develop catastrophe response plans, including resource needs, staffing support, and partnerships with adjusting firms when necessary.
  • Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with available coverage and applicable procedures, laws, and regulations.
  • Identify performance or quality improvement opportunities and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Foster a high level of teamwork and collaboration across all company departments.
  • Collaborate with auditors during quality reviews, support process improvement initiatives, and work with claims teams to reduce errors and eliminate defects.
  • Complete special projects as assigned, delivering accurate and timely results.
  • Maintain effective communication and coordination with other departments, including Information Technology, Claims, Compliance, and Underwriting.
Project Management Responsibilities

The Claims Project Manager reports directly to the Services Division CEO. They will regularly provide feedback on the claims process, identify system and procedural opportunities, and highlight performance metrics such as pending inventory volume, processing speed, closures, customer satisfaction, and overall claim quality.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in claims management or a related field preferred.
  • P&C Adjuster's licenses must be maintained in all states where required.
  • Flood FCN card preferred.
  • Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated experience working with AI tools and technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, or decision-making.
  • Flood Industry and NFIP experience preferred.
