Examples of Job Duties: What does a day in the life of a hospice caregiver look like? Providing comfort and presence.
  • Offer companionship and emotional support to clients and their families
  • Provide comfort-focused personal care, including bathing, grooming, repositioning, and mobility assistance
  • Assist with meal preparation and ensure safe, peaceful surroundings
  • Monitor and report changes in client comfort, condition, or needs to the care team
  • Maintain a calm, patient presence and help support the client's preferred routines
  • Engage clients in gentle, meaningful activities when appropriate
  • Support families by offering reassurance, updates, and compassionate communication

  • You are deeply compassionate and patient, especially in emotionally sensitive situations
  • You are comfortable providing personal care and emotional support
  • You communicate warmly and respectfully with clients, families, and care teams
  • You are committed to helping others experience comfort and dignity
  • Experience in hospice, palliative care, or caregiving is a plus but not required — training is provided
