Line Cook

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals according to our menu and recipes. You will work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and taste. This is a fast-paced environment that requires strong culinary skills and attention to detail.

Duties:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Follow recipes and menu guidelines to prepare meals
- Cook food on various kitchen equipment, such as stovetops, ovens, grills, and fryers
- Monitor food cooking times and temperatures to ensure proper cooking
- Plate and present dishes in an appealing manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations

Experience:
- Previous experience in the food industry as a Line Cook/Prep Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong culinary skills, including knife handling and cooking techniques
- Experience working in a restaurant or catering setting is preferred
- Dietary aide experience is a plus
