Duties

• Greet customers warmly and provide expert assistance with product selection and inquiries.
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly.
• Assist with merchandising efforts by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring products are attractively presented.
• Manage inventory by stocking shelves, conducting stock checks, and supporting inventory management procedures.
• Upsell complementary products by identifying customer needs and recommending suitable options to maximize sales opportunities.
• Maintain excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth transactions.
• Strong communication skills in both English and bilingual capabilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions, pricing, and inventory counts.
• Experience with grocery store operations or retail merchandising is advantageous but not required.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor that fosters positive interactions.
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and upselling techniques to enhance the shopping experience.
