The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for daily operations, personnel management and technical expertise of the laboratory section. Provides accurate, timely and cost effective service to all laboratory customers.

We are hiring for position Supervisor Clinical Laboratory at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK

Position is full-time, 1.0 FTE, 8-hr Day shifts, 40 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, or education and training equivalent to a Bachelor's of Science degree in a chemical, physical or biological science and have at least four years of clinical laboratory training or experience within 10 years immediately prior to application on human specimens or a combination of both in high complexity testing within the specialty area.
  • Upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology, or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Association of Bioanalysts, or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts, or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Laboratory Technician - American Medical Technologists, or
  • Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists, or
  • Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government 
  • 4 years work experience in the clinical laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training: Specialized training/education in section specialty
  • Previous supervisory experience.
