Crosby's Drugs is a locally owned and operated pharmacy in Columbus, Ohio, dedicated to personalized patient care. We specialize in custom compounding solutions, working closely with healthcare providers to tailor medications that meet individual needs. Our state-of-the-art compounding lab supports a range of therapies including hormone replacement, low dose naltrexone, dermatological preparations, pediatric solutions, veterinary compounds and more. At this time Crosby's Drugs does non-sterile compounding and hazardous compounding.
Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Compounding Technician to join our compounding lab team. The ideal candidate will have experience in non-sterile compounding, a strong understanding of pharmacy practices, and a commitment to quality and safety standards. Our compounding lab is growing so we are seeking a member to join our team that is motivated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare compounded medications in accordance with USP and guidelines
- Accurately measure, mix, and label pharmaceutical ingredients
- Maintain cleanroom and lab equipment to ensure required conditions
- Assist pharmacists with inventory management of compounding supplies and ingredients
- Follow all safety, documentation, and quality control protocols
- Maintain accurate records of formulations, procedures, and batch logs
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state pharmacy regulations
- Participate in ongoing training and lab improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Registered Technician license in the state of Ohio
- Experience in non-sterile and/or sterile compounding
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to follow precise instructions and maintain documentation
Preferred:
- Prior experience in a compounding pharmacy
- Knowledge of USP guidelines and pharmacy calculations
- Familiarity with lab equipment (ointment mills, balances, autoclaves, etc.)
- Basic understanding of pharmaceutical ingredients and formulations
Schedule & Compensation:
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
- Lab hours: Monday- Friday 9-5:30
