IT System Administrator: Courts

Reporting directly to an assigned IT Manager or Director, responsible for configuring and maintaining reliable operation of specific technology systems or applications. Level I of III in System Administrators.
EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED- Configures, administers, and maintains designated system or application to support end users' needs
- Assigns rights and roles for software applications
- Assists in tracking system bugs, reporting issues, and resolutions
- Provides customized supporting tools for end users (i.e. reports, forms, workflows, etc.)
- Performs regular testing and auditing of designated systems, software, and procedures
- Provides technical consulting and support services as needed
- Designs and delivers training programs
- Attends all meetings and trainings, as required
- Performs special duties as assigned
Specialized Assignments (in addition to the duties above):
Courts & Justice
- Supports applications used by judicial users and office staff at county facilities
- Provides hardware and software assistance related to Judicial Court Management, Jail Inmate Management, Jail Medical Services, Clerk Case Management, and Constable Services
- Creates documentation for IT and end users
- Interfaces with vendor support on issues
ORGANIZATION RELATIONSHIPS
- Reports directly to – IT Manager or Director

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Position involves prolonged sitting at a workstation, visual examination of documents, reaching, walking, twisting, bending, standing and occasional lifting/carrying
ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS
- Work is primarily indoors in an air-conditioned environment
- Regular travel between work sites as required
IRREGULAR HOURS
- Work outside of regular office hours (Monday – Friday) may be required
- Essential personnel for emergency situations; discretion of department director
- Regular attendance is required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Vocational/technical diploma or certificate and two (2) years of job-related experience; or three (3) years of job-related experience
- Working knowledge of specific job-related technology
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required
- Technology certification in area of responsibility
Required within thirty (30) days of employment
- Valid driver's license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Working knowledge in all areas of technology software, hardware, data, methodologies, frameworks, and infrastructure
