Dietary Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist with food production and meal preparation to ensure timely delivery of nutritious options tailored to residents' dietary needs.
• Serve meals with courtesy and professionalism, ensuring proper portioning and presentation.
• Support the dietary department by maintaining cleanliness through sanitation, cleaning kitchen equipment, dishes, utensils, and dining areas.
• Help with food handling procedures that adhere to food safety standards to prevent contamination or spoilage.
• Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, sanitation, and kitchen operations to ensure compliance with health regulations.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and dietary team members to accommodate special diets or dietary restrictions for residents.

Skills

• Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, serving techniques, and food safety practices.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy meal times.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties diligently while maintaining sanitation standards.
• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
