Job Title: Field Service Technician

Location: Travel-based (up to 75% travel, both local and out-of-state)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $55,000 – $75,000 base salary + commission opportunities on product and service plan sales

About the Role:

We're looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to support both new and existing installations of custom HVAC and dehumidification systems. This is a field-facing role that blends technical service, customer training, and product support. The ideal candidate enjoys working hands-on, thrives in dynamic environments, and values a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to job sites to conduct system start-ups, troubleshooting, and routine field service
• Support customers both on-site and over the phone, answering technical questions and resolving service issues
• Collaborate with internal teams including refrigeration, electrical, and quality control during factory visits
• Generate clear and timely service reports, including recommendations for improvement
• Train customers and contractors on system operation and maintenance
• Provide feedback to engineering and management to enhance product design and minimize future service calls
• Promote service plans and identify new business opportunities during site visits
• Maintain awareness of service costs and work to manage expenses effectively

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of field experience servicing HVAC, dehumidifiers, or other air handling systems
• Experience with electrical systems, sheet metal design, and troubleshooting controls (PLC, smart systems)
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to travel up to 75% for service work

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant field service experience
• Welding and light fabrication experience
• Advanced HVAC training or certifications
• Experience with desiccant dehumidification systems
• Strong technical writing and customer service background
• Previous experience selling service plans or related offerings
