Receptionist / Floater

Job Overview
We are seeking a Veterinary "Receptionist/ Floater" to join our team. As a Veterinary Receptionist/Floater, you will be the first point of contact for our clients and their pets and you will also - Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with various tasks as needed. Your role will be crucial in providing exceptional customer service, record keeping , organization, ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary clinics. If you are a detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and customer service skills and a passion for organization, we would love to hear from you

Duties
- Greet clients and their pets with a warm and friendly demeanor

• Creation and upkeep of records and paperwork

• Filing of all records and paperwork

• Purging files of outdated records as needed.

• Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar

• Answer phone calls, emails, and other inquiries from clients
• Obtain and update patient information, including vaccinations in the electronic medical records system
• Process payments and handle financial transactions

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

• Familiarity with AAHA a big plus as the clinic is AAHA Certified and maintain recommended standards.

Skills

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:

• Familiarity with veterinary terminology
• Strong knowledge of customer service and record keeping skills

as well as ,

• Strong interest in animal husbandry
• Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment
• Proficiency in pet care, including feeding, grooming, and administering medications
• Ability to handle animals safely and confidently

Job description

Veterinary Receptionist / Floater

Please do not reply if you do not have veterinary clinic experience.

Must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a receptionist in a veterinary clinic.

Must be able to enter pet vaccination records into veterinary software quickly and efficiently, must also be very strong with data entry to assist with daily patient history upkeep in computer.

Must be able to file and retrieve records efficiently

Knowledge of DVMax, Clover Functionality and Shepherd web based software a Big Plus

Hours are Part Time or Full Time As you wish. Lots of work, full time definitely an option.

Mon - Sat.

Salary commensurate with experience.
