Parsons is seeking a mid-level Linux Systems Administrator to support both Linux-based workstations and servers in physical and virtual environments. In this role, youll perform daily system checks, resolve issues, and ensure the reliability and efficiency of our infrastructure. This position requires a proactive problem-solver who can think critically, troubleshoot effectively, and provide solutions under minimal supervision. If youre ready to take your career to the next level, wed love to hear from you!/ph3Roles and Responsibilities/h3pAs a Linux Systems Administrator, your key responsibilities will include:/pulliManage new user onboarding, workstation imaging, and configuration./liliDiagnose and resolve remote user and system infrastructure issues./liliMonitor and optimize system performance and reliability./liliPlan and coordinate system outages and upgrades./liliMonitor and maintain network systems./liliInstall server and network equipment in a data center environment./liliDocument infrastructure architecture changes and updates./liliResolve user requests and issues reported to the HelpDesk./liliOccasionally support after-hours system upgrades./li/ulh3Required Skills/h3pTo succeed in this role, you will need:/pulliMust be a U.S. Citizen./liliActive TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required./liliBachelors degree in a technology-related discipline and 10 years of related experience (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree)./lili3+ years of experience with Linux operating systems, including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting./liliExperience maintaining virtual environments and deploying Linux services./liliUnderstanding of basic networking technologies (TCP/IP, UDP, Firewall)./li/ulh3Desired Skills/h3pWhile not required, the following skills are highly desirable:/pulliFamiliarity with virtualization and Docker technologies./liliExperience with automation tools such as Salt, Ansible, or Puppet./liliProficiency with Atlassian software (Confluence, JIRA)./liliExperience with a wide variety of open-source software and utilities./liliExperience managing FreeIPA or LDAP-based systems./liliBackground in network security, intrusion detection, and server monitoring./liliFamiliarity with server and networking equipment rack installations./li/ulpSalary Range: $120,800.00 - $217,400.00 Parsons is an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other protected status.
