Job Summary: As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting furniture and appliances to customers in a safe and timely manner. You will ensure that deliveries are completed accurately by adhering to scheduled routes and timeframes, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires a reliable and professional individual who is committed to providing exceptional service while operating vehicles in compliance with all safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delivery Duties:
• Safely load, transport, and deliver furniture and appliances to customers according to assigned routes and schedules.
• Review orders before and after delivery to ensure that items are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied.
• Assist in unloading products at customer locations and ensure the items are placed in the correct rooms or locations as requested.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of delivery vehicles and report any safety issues or maintenance needs to management.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for deliveries, including customer signatures, delivery confirmations, and returns when applicable.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow all transportation laws and maintain a clean and safe driving record.
• Abide by company safety protocols and policies to ensure the safety of yourself, your passengers, and the public.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the warehouse and logistics team to ensure that all items are properly packed and ready for delivery.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License (not GDL) and a clean driving record.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in furniture delivery, home moving, or a related field.
• Experience operating a 1-ton truck is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items for extended periods of time.
• Strong time management skills and ability to follow a structured delivery route.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and timely deliveries.
• Ability to handle basic paperwork and delivery documentation.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
