We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy distribution center in Tampa, Florida! This position is critical to our logistics operations, focusing on accurately selecting items and preparing them for shipment to our valued customers. You will be responsible for reading orders, locating products within the warehouse, and packaging them efficiently and safely. A sharp eye for detail, efficiency, and a strong commitment to workplace Safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from assigned warehouse locations based on customer orders.
- Inspect picked items for quality and accuracy.
- Pack items securely into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Affix shipping labels and any other required documentation to packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks safely.
- Follow all company Safety guidelines and wear the necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory management activities, including cycle counts.
- Meet or exceed daily picking and packing productivity standards.
- Support the smooth functioning of our overall logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a Picker/Packer role or general warehouse setting is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret order picking lists and shipping instructions.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and perform frequent manual tasks, including Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety standards and practices.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
