We're looking for experienced Picker/Packers to join our bustling warehouse operations in Chicago, Illinois. As a Picker/Packer, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. Your responsibilities will include accurately picking items from shelves based on order lists and carefully packing them for shipment. This role demands precision, speed, and a strong adherence to Safety protocols within our logistics hub. If you have a meticulous approach and enjoy a physically active role, this is the perfect fit.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations according to order sheets or RF scanner.
- Inspect items for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring product protection.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area, including replenishment of packing supplies.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely, such as hand trucks or pallet jacks.
- Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks as needed.
- Contribute to meeting daily picking and packing productivity targets.
- Understand and support the overall logistics flow of the warehouse.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Picker/Packer or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and understand order lists and shipping labels.
- Physical stamina for standing, walking, bending, and frequent Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
