We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics hub in Dallas, Texas. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, store, and retrieve inventory within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from production areas or storage locations, and assisting with inventory management tasks. A strong focus on safety is paramount, and you will be expected to perform daily equipment checks, adhere to all established safety procedures, and consistently wear the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The ideal candidate possesses excellent attention to detail to prevent damage to goods and ensure inventory accuracy. This role requires the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with the logistics team. Prior experience with various forklift types is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and trailers.
- Stack and arrange inventory in designated areas according to established procedures.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations and PPE requirements.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational goals.
- Must be comfortable with frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with valid certification.
- Solid understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Proficiency in operating different types of forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach).
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of wearing PPE.
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting, bending, and standing.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed.
