Join our team as a Distribution Center Associate in Des Moines, Iowa! We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to contribute to the efficient operation of our warehouse. In this role, you will be involved in a variety of tasks crucial to our logistics chain, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Your dedication to accuracy and efficiency will be key to ensuring our products reach their destinations in excellent condition. This position requires physical stamina, as it involves significant lifting, standing, and movement throughout the day. Safety is our top priority; therefore, strict adherence to all safety guidelines and the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. You will work with a team to maintain a clean and organized work environment, contributing to the overall productivity of the distribution center. Experience in a warehouse setting is beneficial but not required, as we provide comprehensive training.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process incoming stock and materials.
- Stock inventory accurately in designated warehouse locations.
- Pick and pack customer orders with attention to detail.
- Prepare orders for shipment and load onto delivery vehicles.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs regularly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to handle manual tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the use of PPE.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is helpful.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
