Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Inspect goods for damage, verify quantities, and compare against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately record all received items into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any discrepancies, shortages, or damages to supervisors.
- Stage incoming merchandise for put-away or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely to move incoming goods.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a focus on logistics efficiency and safety.
- Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Be prepared for tasks involving lifting of materials up to 40 pounds.
- Ensure efficient flow of goods into the warehouse, supporting the overall logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in a receiving, shipping, or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks, including lifting.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the use of PPE.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain operations.
