Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Material Handler to support our warehouse operations in Austin, Texas. This critical role ensures the efficient movement of materials throughout our facility, from receiving to dispatch. You will be responsible for operating various types of equipment to load, unload, transport, and store materials, ensuring accuracy and minimizing damage. Your expertise in handling materials safely and efficiently is vital to our logistics chain.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently to move inventory.
  • Load and unload trucks, verifying contents against shipping documents.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas within the warehouse.
  • Organize and stack materials to ensure efficient use of space and accessibility.
  • Inspect equipment regularly for maintenance needs and report any issues promptly.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock location verification.
  • Ensure all materials are handled carefully to prevent damage, adhering to best practices.
  • Follow all established Safety procedures and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways and safe operating conditions.
  • Support the overall logistics and operational flow of the warehouse by ensuring timely material availability.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role operating forklifts.
  • Valid forklift certification is required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 60 pounds, standing, walking, and bending.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling equipment.
  • Excellent knowledge of Safety protocols and best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and inventory control.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
