Our busy distribution center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is looking for energetic and reliable Material Handlers to support our logistics operations. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently moving, storing, and retrieving materials within the warehouse. This role is vital to ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our facility. You'll be working in a fast-paced environment, utilizing various equipment to manage inventory and fulfill orders. We prioritize a safe working environment and expect all team members to adhere to strict safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE. Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading materials from trucks and containers.
- Moving materials throughout the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment.
- Organizing and stacking inventory in designated areas.
- Picking and preparing materials for shipment.
- Performing regular equipment checks and basic maintenance.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety regulations, including proper lifting techniques and the use of required PPE.
- Assisting with inventory counts and discrepancy resolution.
- Supporting overall warehouse logistics and operational efficiency.
- The ability to safely handle lifting of materials up to 60 lbs is required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Good physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labor.
- Understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics workflows.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Commitment to safety and proper use of PPE.
