Our Orlando, Florida warehouse is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to ensure the optimal functioning of our facility and equipment. This dynamic role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and ensuring that all warehouse operations run smoothly and safely. The Warehouse Technician will be responsible for the upkeep of machinery, including forklifts, conveyors, and automated systems, as well as general facility maintenance. A strong understanding of industrial equipment and a commitment to safety are essential. You will work with a dedicated team to maintain a high level of operational efficiency within our logistics network. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail. Regular inspections and preventative maintenance are key to minimizing downtime. Adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues
- Conduct safety inspections of equipment and the facility
- Ensure all equipment is operating efficiently and safely
- Maintain records of maintenance and repairs
- Assist with the installation of new equipment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Respond to equipment malfunctions and operational issues promptly
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician or in a similar maintenance role
- Strong knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Familiarity with safety procedures in a warehouse environment
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations
- Commitment to using PPE and following safe lifting practices
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
This role requires a strong focus on safety and operational integrity. The Warehouse Technician plays a critical role in maintaining a secure and efficient logistics environment by ensuring all equipment functions as intended. The correct use of PPE is non-negotiable, and a thorough understanding of safe lifting techniques is expected.
