Job Summary:
Our Detroit, Michigan facility is seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our team. This role requires a combination of technical aptitude and operational efficiency to maintain our warehouse equipment and support our **logistics** functions. You will be responsible for the upkeep, repair, and safe operation of warehouse machinery, as well as assisting with general warehouse duties. A strong focus on **safety** is critical; you must comply with all **safety** regulations and consistently use appropriate **PPE**. This position may involve **lifting** and moving of parts and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, conveyors, palletizers).
  • Ensure all machinery is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock rotation.
  • Operate material handling equipment as needed, adhering to **safety** standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and warehouse environment.
  • Strictly follow all **safety** protocols and wear designated **PPE**.
  • Participate in **lifting** and moving of equipment and supplies.
  • Support the broader **logistics** team with technical expertise and operational assistance.
The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical maintenance or a related field, possess strong problem-solving skills, and have a solid understanding of warehouse **safety** procedures. Certification in operating forklifts or other heavy machinery is a significant asset.
