Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately processing all incoming shipments. This includes verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and documenting receipts. Your accuracy is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and supporting our logistics operations. A strong commitment to safety is required.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming freight.
  • Verify shipment contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Document all received goods accurately in the inventory management system.
  • Inspect incoming items for damage or defects and report any discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of received materials, managing tasks that involve lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE such as safety vests and gloves.
  • Coordinate with other departments for timely distribution of received goods.
  • Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely, as needed.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of warehouse logistics by ensuring accurate and prompt receiving.
  • Follow all outlined procedures to ensure compliance and operational excellence.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, and manual lifting .
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and basic inventory management.
  • Commitment to following safety guidelines and using PPE correctly.
  • Familiarity with logistics processes.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reliable and punctual.
