We are looking for motivated Material Handlers to join our team in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center. As a Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all materials are handled, stored, and moved efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include receiving shipments, stocking inventory, picking items for orders, and preparing them for dispatch. A commitment to safety and attention to detail are paramount. The ideal candidate will be physically capable of performing tasks that involve significant lifting and working in an environment that demands speed and accuracy. Your role is fundamental to our logistics success and customer satisfaction. We provide comprehensive training and require adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE .
Responsibilities:
- Receiving, verifying, and stocking incoming materials.
- Transporting materials throughout the warehouse using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
- Picking and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and reporting any discrepancies.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse space.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing specified PPE .
- Assisting with the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
- Supporting other warehouse functions as needed to meet operational demands.
- Collaborating with supervisors and colleagues to optimize workflow and problem-solve.
- Engaging in continuous learning to improve job performance and understanding of warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior warehouse or general labor experience preferred.
- Capability to handle frequent lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
- Basic understanding of warehouse management systems or inventory procedures.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards.
- Readiness to use all required PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Dependability and a strong work ethic.
