Lead Maintenance Technician

Pro X Property Management Springfield is a locally owned small business that is looking for someone who wants to join a new company and be apart of long term growth. We are hiring for our first in-house Lead Maintenance Technician. This is a key early-stage role with a clear path to growth and leadership.

This position is designed for someone who wants more than just a maintenance job. Our goal is to develop this role into a leadership position, where the Lead Maintenance Technician will eventually oversee additional in-house technicians and coordinate vendor work as the company continues to grow.

Compensation & Incentives

• Base hourly pay: $22.00 – $26.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Performance-based monthly bonuses tied to individual performance metrics such as work order completion time, quality of repairs, unit turn efficiency, preventative maintenance completion, and cost control.

Top performers in this role can earn the equivalent of $29–$31 per hour based on individual performance alone, even before additional technicians are hired.

As the company grows and additional maintenance staff are added, there will be further opportunities to increase earnings through expanded responsibilities and leadership incentives. Compensation is performance-driven and not capped.

Job Functions:

• Completion of all maintenance service requests from work orders to direct assignments.
• Become Familiar with property management software. Close work orders appropriately. This includes creating invoices, tracking time spent on each job and material purchased per repair.
• Perform tasks associated with plumbing, carpentry, drywall repair and painting
• Able to diagnose HVAC & plumbing issues
• Repair and treat structures such as showers, sinks, toilets, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, floors, and building exteriors
• Schedule and complete preventative maintenance. Report progress on outstanding issues
• Assist with maintenance of grounds such as trash pick-up, sweep sidewalks and light landscaping
• Perform all assigned walk-throughs and complete checklists
• Complete unit turns in preparation of new resident move-ins
• Assure safety practices are used that comply with all company, local, city, state, and federal guidelines
• Follow Pro X Property policies and procedures and comply with Fair Housing, state, and federal laws
• Regular, on-time attendance
• Special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
• Verify subcontractor/vendor work as completed when assigned.
