Dental Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared.
• Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments.
• Take and develop X-rays as required, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and patient records in accordance with practice policies.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed.
• Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and practices.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Eaglesoft or similar dental management systems is advantageous.
• Knowledge of medical coding, infection control practices, and anatomy is beneficial.
• Experience in endodontics, prosthodontics, or other specialized areas of dentistry is a plus.
• Ability to perform basic medical documentation accurately.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
