Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Service Technician with proven experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of forklift models and material handling equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

· Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues on forklifts and industrial equipment.

· Perform scheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on forklifts (electric, propane, diesel, and hybrid models).

· Repair or replace components, including engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

· Operate forklifts, hoists, hand tools, and industrial power tools safely and efficiently.

· Maintain service records including detailed documentation of repair and maintenance activities.

· Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, supervisors, and clients to effectively communicate status updates and next step requirements.

· Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety regulations and policies.

· Stay current on industry technologies and industry best practices.

· Assist with Operator training on proper forklift usage and basic maintenance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED, technical training or associate degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial technology preferred.

· Minimum 3 years of experience in forklift service or related mechanical maintenance roles.

· Experience reading, interpreting, and understanding technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.

· Valid forklift operator license or certification preferred.

· Ability to operate tools, lift equipment (up to 70 lbs), and work in diverse warehouses or outdoor environments.

· Excellent client-facing skills which include problem solving, communications, and teamwork skills.

· Safe driving record.

· Ability to pass drug test

Desired Skills:

· Proficiency with diagnostics and repairs of multiple forklift brands, models, and types.

· Ability to work independently and manage work orders efficiently.

· Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
