Role Overview
The
Single-Use Hardware Project Manager / Bioprocess Project Manager
manages custom single-use systems (mixers, bioreactors, bins) from quotation to project closure. The PM is the
primary client interface
and works closely with sales, engineering, suppliers, and global teams.
This role is responsible for interpreting customer requirements, preparing quotations, controlling project cost/schedule, managing documentation (P&IDs, specs, exceptions), and facilitating FATs at supplier sites.
Key Responsibilities
Project & Client Management
- Act as
primary contact
for clients throughout the project lifecycle. - Manage project initiation, planning, execution, and closure.
- Provide
weekly status reports
.
Technical & Documentation
- Create/modify P&IDs, technical specifications, schedules, and cost structures.
- Interpret RFQs, proposals, and URS (User Requirement Specifications).
- Prepare technical exceptions.
Execution & Quality
- Ensure project spending stays within limits.
- Maintain EMD Millipore quality standards.
- Assess cost/schedule impacts from client modification requests.
- Develop factory release test plans.
- Facilitate
Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
at supplier sites. - Support investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Global Collaboration
- Support
US & LATAM sales
, with occasional support to EU and Asia.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in
Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering
(preferred). - 5+ years
of industry experience. - Pharmaceutical/biopharma experience strongly preferred
. - Project Management experience.
- Knowledge of
single-use systems
(mixers, bins, bioreactors) is a strong plus. - Familiarity with:
- cGMP, FDA, GAMP
- ASME-BPE
- CE, UL guidelines
- Strong customer relationship skills.
- Experience in global/multicultural environments.
- Excellent verbal/written communication.
- Team leadership and coordination ability.
- Strong MS Office skills; experience with
MS Project, SharePoint, AutoCAD
. - Travel required for FATs.

- No exposure to blood-borne pathogens, chemicals, or viruses.
- No forklift, respirator, laser, or heavy-lifting requirements.
- No physical exam required.
- No animal handling.
