Job Summary
Our Philosophy: Phoenix Rising is founded on values of kindness, empathy, and patience with an emphasis on client autonomy and quality care. We believe in bringing out the best in our learners by using proven evidence-based interventions that allow us to harness strengths and foster individuality. We do not believe in masking or muting any of the unique traits and characteristics that make a learner who they are. By working carefully with parents and caregivers, we identify family values and specific goals in order to target behaviors that will improve quality of life. ABA therapy should be a fun and engaging experience.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team. The BCBA will provide direct care (no supervision requirements), develop, implement, and oversee behavioral therapy programs tailored to individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. This role involves conducting assessments, designing intervention plans, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to promote positive outcomes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in applied behavior analysis and experience working with children and individuals with disabilities in clinical or educational settings. As an independent contractor, you will create your own schedule based on client needs and will be responsible for delivery of quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments and diagnostic evaluations for clients with developmental disabilities.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on data collection, patient assessment, and diagnostic findings.
  • Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions utilizing applied behavior analysis techniques.
  • Collect, analyze, and document data to monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies accordingly.
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapy sessions, training, and support for clients and their families.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and caregivers to ensure cohesive service delivery.
  • Educate families and staff on behavioral strategies, progress updates, and intervention goals.
  • Ensure all services adhere to ethical standards and best practices within behavioral health and special education fields.

Experience

  • Valid BCBA certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Proven experience in behavioral therapy, especially working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder.
  • Strong background in applied behavior analysis (ABA), data collection, patient assessment, and diagnostic evaluation.
  • Experience working with people with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and confidentiality.
  • This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' lives through specialized behavioral interventions while working within a supportive professional environment committed to excellence in patient care.
