Server/Cashier

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, handle transactions accurately, and assist with food preparation and service. Experience in the food industry, including quick service or restaurant settings, is preferred. This role offers an opportunity to develop culinary and retail skills while ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and take their orders using Aloha POS or Micros POS systems
• Prepare and serve food items according to established standards, including basic food preparation and sanitation practices
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change
• Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
• Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including bussing tables and ensuring sanitation standards are met
• Assist with food safety procedures, proper food handling, and kitchen cleanliness
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service
• Support team members with food prep, stocking supplies, and other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food service, restaurant, café, or retail environment preferred
• Knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude
• Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations
• Familiarity with food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
• Ability to work quickly in a fast-food or quick service setting while maintaining quality standards
• Basic kitchen experience or culinary background is advantageous but not required
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift light loads as needed
