Custodian Maintenance

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Custodian Maintenance professional to ensure the cleanliness, safety, and proper maintenance of our facilities. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial or residential cleaning, floor care, and general facilities maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained environment through efficient cleaning and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and restroom sanitation
• Conduct specialized cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, buffing floors, and industrial cleaning procedures
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas, offices, restrooms, and other designated spaces
• Assist with minor repairs and upkeep of facilities including painting touch-ups and light maintenance tasks
• Operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, floor scrubbers, and industrial vacuums effectively
• Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health standards
• Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently and uphold high standards of cleanliness

Requirements

• Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing and polishing
• Experience with industrial cleaning methods and facilities maintenance preferred
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality work
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Prior experience with residential painting or porter duties is a plus
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by adhering to safety guidelines and protocols
