Our small three DVM (2 F/T & 1 P/T) hospital is looking for a full-time licensed veterinary technician (LVT) to join our team! Nisqually Veterinary Clinic (NVC) has a small home-town feel, but will still keep you on your feet like any other big city practice.
We are looking for a positive, compassionate, motivated team player. Dental prophy and extraction experience is preferred. Experience with Avimark is a plus, but not necessary.

*Veterinarian Technician Job Responsibilities:*
* Conducts preliminary examinations and diagnostic procedures.
* Performs dental cleanings and extractions.
* Assists during surgeries.
* Feeds and cares for animals.
* Maintains supplies and equipment.
* Maintains records via Avimark.
* Completes laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
* Takes vital signs and collects samples.
* Administers medications, drugs, and vaccines.
* Bandages and wraps wounds.
* Communication with owners.
* Prepares surgery table instruments.
* Completes local/regional anesthesia.
* Places catheters.
* Maintains sterile conditions.
* Obtains and verifies medications.
* Cleans animal cages and equipment
* Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, and complying with legal regulations.
*Work Hours:*
Our LVT's have a set 4 day/week 10-hour/day schedule.
*Veterinarian Technician Qualifications / Skills:*
* Valid Veterinary Technician License
* Dental experience (cleanings and extractions)
* Knowledge of animal behavior
* Clinical skills
* Use of medical technologies

* Leadership skills
* Avimark experience is a plus!
