Duties

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
• Assist with menu planning by providing input on ingredient selection and dish presentation to enhance customer satisfaction
• Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, marinating, portioning, and assembling ingredients efficiently and safely
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and sanitation practices in compliance with food safety regulations
• Support catering events and special functions by preparing large quantities of food with precision and speed
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy periods
• Follow all food industry safety protocols, including proper knife skills and storage procedures, to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a restaurant or food service environment, preferably with fine dining experience or in a culinary setting that emphasizes quality presentation
• Strong food handling skills with knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
• Skilled in food preparation techniques such as cooking, knife handling, and meal assembly
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to coordinate effectively within a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Knowledge of menu planning, catering operations, and serving procedures is highly desirable

Pay: $ $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
