Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing and construction team. Duties
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately fabricate and assemble metal components.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and welding techniques to join various metals including sheet metal, ductwork, and pipe systems.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and machining equipment to cut, shape, bend, and assemble metal parts according to specifications.
- Conduct fabrication tasks such as pipe threading, sheet metal forming, and assembly of structural components on construction sites or in manufacturing settings.
- Operate rigging equipment like cranes and forklifts safely for lifting and positioning heavy materials or assemblies.
- Measure dimensions with calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools to ensure accuracy within ASME codes & standards.
- Apply mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues during fabrication or assembly processes while maintaining safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding, and specific welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, press brake machines, and machining tools.
- Knowledge of rigging operations including crane handling and forklift operation for material movement.
- Experience working with sheet metal fabrication, ductwork installation, pipe threading, and assembly tasks.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work.
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes or construction applications is highly desirable.
