Job Purpose

The Facilities Maintenance Technician at Evermore Cannabis Company is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of company facilities. This role involves performing routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on equipment, systems, and building structures to support cultivation, manufacturing, and retail operations. The Facilities Maintenance Associate will work both independently and collaboratively to complete assigned tasks, address maintenance needs promptly, and assist with urgent operational issues as they arise.

Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform routine inspections of equipment, machinery, and building systems to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems as needed.
  • Facility Upkeep: May include landscaping, pest control, and maintaining grounds.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend the life of equipment.
  • When professional service is required, makes arrangements and supervises the work of the contractor/vendor.
  • Assist with facility improvements, renovations, and general upkeep of company grounds and buildings.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to support business continuity.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, building codes, and applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with cultivation, manufacturing, and retail teams to meet facility needs.
  • Support inventory management of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Directs the set-up of rooms, equipment, tables, chairs, and cleaning for functions; coordinates weekly custodial tasks to keep our indoor spaces clean and sanitized.
  • Assist with miscellaneous facility projects, including painting, drywall, carpentry, installation of fixtures and moving furniture or materials within the facilities.
  • Support inventory management of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies, including routine counts, organization, reporting low stock levels, and assisting with reordering.

Qualifications & Skills

These are the qualifications that are necessary for someone to be considered for the position.

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of facilities, building maintenance, or related experience.
  • Demonstrates a knowledge of, and experience in, maintenance and minor repair work in the fields of carpentry, electrical work, painting and minor drywall repair, plumbing, sanitation, mechanics, janitorial care and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and safety.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or on-call shifts for emergencies as needed.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing, cultivation, or industrial facility.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards, building codes, and workplace safety practices.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other staff members as a team.
  • Proficiency with basic computer systems for logging maintenance records.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
  • Frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights (ladders, lifts, platforms) when needed.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including hot, cold, humid, or noisy areas.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment on a regular basis.
  • Capability to respond to facility issues during evenings, weekends, or emergencies, as required.

Pay: $ $27.00 per hour
