About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced, compliance-driven Operations Director to oversee the day-to-day operations of three outpatient physical therapy clinics serving a significant Medicare and Medicaid patient population.
This role holds full accountability for operational performance, regulatory compliance, insurance reimbursement effectiveness, staff leadership, and financial oversight. The Operations Director will work closely with ownership and clinical leadership to ensure the clinics operate efficiently, ethically, and in full compliance—while delivering excellent patient experiences.
The Work
Clinic Operations, Compliance & Risk Management
- Direct daily operations across three physical therapy clinics
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, commercial payers, HIPAA, OSHA, and state regulations
- Serve as the operational lead for audits, inspections, and compliance reviews
- Develop, implement, and enforce operational policies, procedures, and internal controls
- Ensure documentation and front-office workflows support compliant, optimized billing
Insurance Reimbursement & Revenue Cycle Oversight
- Own insurance reimbursement performance across all clinics
- Monitor claim accuracy, denial trends, payer performance, and cash flow
- Track and report on revenue cycle KPIs, including A/R and payer mix
- Partner with billing teams to reduce denials and improve collections
Credentialing & Provider Enrollment
- Oversee provider credentialing and re-credentialing with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Ensure timely payer enrollment for new hires to minimize revenue disruption
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date credentialing documentation
People Leadership & HR Administration
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for administrative and support staff
- Oversee payroll processing, benefits administration, and employee-related compliance
- Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and compliance
Financial & Administrative Oversight
- Manage clinic budgets, expenses, and operational spending
- Oversee accounting functions and vendor relationships
- Monitor financial performance against key operational KPIs
- Provide regular operational and financial reporting to ownership
Our Ideal Candidate
- 5+ years of healthcare operations leadership experience (healthcare-adjacent experience considered)
- Strong background in hiring, onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and employment law compliance
- Demonstrated expertise in Medicare and Medicaid compliance and reimbursement
- Experience with revenue cycle management and provider credentialing
- Proven ability to lead across multiple locations
- Bachelor's degree preferred

Compensation & Benefits
Pay is commensurate with experience, within a range of $85,000 – $105,000 annually. This position is eligible for performance-based bonuses tied to clinic metrics.
