Position Summary
We're seeking a Minnesota-based, detail-oriented
Accountant
to own day-to-day accounting and support financial operations across a growing medical device development organization. In this role, you'll lead core accounting cycles (A/P, A/R, payroll coordination, and GL), manage month-end close, support cash flow forecasting, and partner with operations on inventory and cost accounting. As a fast-growing startup this role will grow and evolve every quarter—you can't just be comfortable with change, you need to thrive in it.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an
Accountant
at VitaTek. As our new Finance Manager you will be responsible for general ledger accuracy, timely closes, vendor and customer billing workflows, reconciliations, and financial reporting. You'll collaborate closely with Operations, R&D, and Leadership to ensure clean books, strong controls, and data-driven decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Own A/P and A/R processes: vendor onboarding, three-way match, bill approvals, customer invoicing, and collections.
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile key balance sheet accounts (cash, inventory, prepaid/accruals, fixed assets).
- Lead month-end close and produce timely financial statements and variance analyses in accordance with GAAP.
- Partner with Operations on inventory valuation, standard costs, and COGS; support physical counts and cycle counts.
