Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Hotel Front Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our hotel's front desk. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, exceptional customer service abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of hospitality management. This role is vital in ensuring guest satisfaction, smooth check-in and check-out processes, and efficient management of guest relations. Fluency in multiple languages is highly desirable to cater to our diverse clientele. The Front Office Manager will play a key role in maintaining the hotel's reputation for excellence and ensuring operational standards are consistently met.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate front desk staff to ensure efficient check-in and check-out procedures
- Manage guest services, including handling guest complaints and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette while managing multi-line phone systems for reservations, inquiries, and guest requests
- Ensure proper training of staff on hotel management software and guest relations protocols
- Monitor room availability, reservations, and occupancy levels to maximize revenue opportunities
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
- Implement hotel policies and procedures to uphold service standards
- Implements and manages hotel's daily quality including goal communication, staff member improvement, compliance with standards of performance, service recovery, and problem prevention. Relays feedback from guest comments, SEP surveys, etc. to appropriate department managers and coaches direct staff.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality management or hotel front desk operations
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities preferred to serve diverse guests effectively
- Knowledge of hotel management systems and multi-line phone systems
- Experience with night audit procedures is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, including professional phone etiquette
- Leadership qualities with the ability to manage a team effectively
- Previous hotel experience in a supervisory or managerial role preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or holidays as needed
