The Center for Counseling & Consultation is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) serving Barton, Pawnee, Rice, and Stafford counties in Central KS. This position is responsible for assisting severely emotionally disturbed children in successfully achieving their treatment plan goals by providing one-on-one support within a community or school setting.

Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide support with assigned SED children individually and/or in group settings to develop skills identified by their treatment plan
  • Develop weekly group lesson plans, based on social emotional learning and evidence based practices
  • Facilitate and/or assist with leading planned groups
  • Monitor clients' progress towards treatment plan goals through the facilitation of psychosocial groups; collateral contacts with schools, parents, designated team members and through wrap around meetings
  • Facilitate travel/transportation to conduct client visits in home or in the community as outlined in the treatment plan and within the context of the provided service
  • Assess and monitor client eligibility for qualified services
  • Accurately and timely complete all required documentation including client data, progress notes and service specific information within required timeframe for completion
  • Manage and assign referrals for services and assist with scheduling of service providers
  • Communicate program issues/development with supervisors and staff
  • Attend required meetings
  • Provide training, and ongoing field mentoring for CBS Support Staff during individual and group services to include immediate feedback/coaching, as well as written observations and communication with Team Leads and CBS Director. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Background void of issues related to abuse or neglect
  • Valid Kansas driver's license with favorable record
  • Bachelors degree in psychology, social work, or related area; or 4 years of equivalent experience.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with program development and delivery
  • Experience motivating/advocating for persons with disabilities
  • Working knowledge of social service resources
  • Knowledge of general recovery concepts

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $26.92 per hour
