GENERAL MANAGER
We are seeking a general manager for a leading company located in Guaynabo that represents top-of-the-line brands of high-quality bathroom equipment, tiles, kitchen cabinets, appliances, and plumbing fixtures for residential and commercial use.
The general manager is responsible for overseeing the company's daily operations, ensuring efficient business practices, and driving performance improvements. This role involves managing resources, systems, and processes to optimize productivity and quality while ensuring alignment with the company's overall objectives. Must balance long-term vision with day-to-day execution, ensuring a productive, goal-oriented environment that supports both employee success and organizational profitability. Through effective leadership, the general manager will cultivate a positive culture and steer the company toward growth and market leadership.
Job responsibilities
· Oversee and optimize daily business operations to improve efficiency and achieve established goals.
· Responsible for the strategic direction and overall performance to achieve company
objectives
· Lead and foster cross-functional team collaboration to ensure smooth coordination between key sales, marketing, finance, and human resources departments
· Able to negotiate and close commercial and residential project sales
· Responsible for leading, organizing, and developing staff to reach their full potential
· Manage budgets and resources and ensure cost-effective business practices
· Monitor operational performance and implement corrective measures as needed
· Ability to negotiate beneficial agreements for the company
· Make operational and strategic decisions
· Problem solving with effective solutions
· Lead transformation and ensure the company is prepared for the future with the
latest technological trends
· Motivate the team and foster a collaborative work environment
· Prior knowledge of Residential and Commercial Plumbing products and/or programs
Summary of Requirements
. Bachelor's or Master's degree in business administration or related fields
· Proven experience in a similar position for at least 5 years
· Recognition and excellent relationships within the industry
· Experience in budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics
. Ability to analyze data, develop budgets, implement plans, and deliver effective presentations
. Constructive and empathetic communication skills, both verbal and written
· Possess exceptional team leadership skills
· Makes decisions with a deep understanding of financial management
operational efficiency, and interdepartmental collaboration
· Bilingual: Speak, read, and write in English and Spanish
· Proficient in Microsoft 365 programs, proficient in Excel
