About Hit Parader Live:

Hit Parader Live is a new supper-club-style venue located in the heart of Nashville — where rock & roll attitude meets elevated hospitality. Inspired by the iconic Hit Parader Magazine and the legacy of music's golden eras, our venue will host live performances, celebrity after-parties, private events, and unforgettable nights of food, drinks, and music. As we seek to impact downtown Nashville with elevated hospitality, live entertainment and quality bites, we are seeking a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house operations.

Position Overview

The Kitchen Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining high food quality standards, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment, and leading a team of culinary professionals. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for excellence in the hospitality industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including sanitation and food safety protocols
  • Manage kitchen inventory, order supplies, and control food costs
  • Assist in hiring alongside General Manager when needed
  • Train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff to promote teamwork and efficiency
  • Create and maintain schedules to ensure proper staffing levels in line with labor costing 
  • Collaborate with the management team on menu development and specials
  • Collaborate with management team on events that require special caterings and BEOs to ensure proper costing on specialized menu items
  • Work with food vendors to navigate regular orders and maintaining costs when items shift
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs as needed
  • Maintain a positive and productive work environment, fostering a culture of accountability and respect

Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or similar role in a high-volume restaurant
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • In-depth knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and sanitation standards
  • Ability to manage inventory, control costs, and meet budget goals
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Passion for food, hospitality, and delivering an exceptional guest experience
  • ServSafe Manager Certification required
