Responsibilities:
Life Spire Assisted Living is seeking an experienced, full time Maintenance Technician for one of our beautiful property's in Albuquerque. A Maintenance Technician ensures that a facility remains in operating form with tasks varying day-to-day based on what is in need of attention at the time, but can frequently include work orders and repairs, aesthetic work or tending to the facility's machinery.

Qualifications & Skills
- 2 or more years of residential property maintenance experience
- Plumbing knowledge to address leaks, clogs or other drainage problems
- Electrical wiring capabilities to manage problems with the building's electricity
- Carpentry ability to handle basic repairs around the building
- Grounds keeping if the facility contains lawns or other outdoor areas in need of maintenance
- Interpersonal skills to interact with employees or residents of the building in a pleasant manner
- Attention to detail to ensure that all jobs are completed in an exemplary manner and any potential hazards or warning signs of problems are not overlooked
- Physical stamina to handle a full shift of being active and working on the building
Responsibilities
- Performing routine maintenance around the building such as fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
- Repairing broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage and restore full use of water fixtures
- Working on damaged electrical wiring when a shortage or severed wire occurs
- Maintaining the building's HVAC equipment in order to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly
- Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
- Fixing potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped

A Maintenance Workers' main responsibilities are to perform essential upkeep tasks throughout our facilities. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs and cleaning to ensure that our facilities are both tidy and functional. Being reliable and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail is essential in this job.
· Perform minor fixes, such as repairing broken locks.
· Install necessary appliances and equipment as needed
· Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
· Complete regular maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs
· Inspect and troubleshoot various equipment and systems
· Test the functionality of the facility's safety systems
· Report to facilities manager regarding issues resolved, those needing attention, and those currently in progress
· Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, and stretch, stand for extended periods of time, and climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.
- Proven experience as a maintenance worker or other similar position, preferably in a corporate setting
- Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
- Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools
- Successful completion of on-site apprenticeship training required
- Ability to read and utilize technical manuals and drawings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- General passion for creative problem-solving
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
